City over pays for outside law firm
What Happened
The city has now payed $852,000 in just four months by the Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell law firm for the two cases, nearly twice the $470,000 cap contained in the city's contract. The contract was signed by Mayor Johnston according to CBS 4.
What Should Have Been Done
Make use of in-house council, stick to the contracted amount, carefully scrutinize contracts. Don't waste tax payer money.
